Privacy Policy — Marble Centre Blocks

Effective date: 1 September 2026

Marble Centre Blocks ("the App") is an internal operations tool built for Marble Centre (marblecentre.co.in) to track marble/granite blocks through their processing lifecycle — from arrival to cutting, dispatch, and sale. The App is developed and maintained by MaruMitra Tech Ventures Private Limited on Marble Centre's behalf.

The App is not available to the general public. It is intended solely for use by authorized Marble Centre staff and administrators, who are provided login credentials directly by Marble Centre. There is no public sign-up.

Information We Collect

Account information — provided by Marble Centre when a staff account is created:

• Email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; passwords are never stored in plain text or visible to us)
• Display name and role (e.g. supervisor, admin)

Operational business data — entered by staff while using the App:

• Block records: weight, dimensions, cutting/dispatch status, and related processing history
• Photos of blocks, cut slabs, and packing lists, taken with the device camera or selected from the photo library
• Names and contact details of suppliers and buyers (parties) entered by staff as part of normal record-keeping
• Machine and equipment records used internally for tracking which machine processed a block

This data belongs to Marble Centre's business operations — it is not collected for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the business.

Diagnostic and app-performance data — collected automatically:

• Crash reports and error logs, to help us find and fix bugs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Basic app/device diagnostic data such as device model and OS version, captured alongside crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) — used only to understand app stability, never for advertising or sold/shared with any advertiser

Permissions the App Requests

• Camera — to photograph blocks, slabs, and packing lists at each stage.
• Photo library — to attach an existing photo instead of taking a new one.

No other device permissions (location, contacts, microphone, etc.) are requested.

How Data Is Stored

App data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud), hosted in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. Photos and documents are stored in a private storage bucket and are only ever made accessible to signed-in staff — they are not publicly listed or browsable.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is shared only with:

• Firebase / Google Cloud (our infrastructure provider), solely to store and serve the data described above, and to provide crash reporting and basic diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics.

The App does not use advertising SDKs, and does not use analytics for advertising, profiling, or tracking across other apps or websites.

Data Retention & Deletion

Business records (block/dispatch history) are retained for as long as Marble Centre requires them for ongoing operations and record-keeping. A staff member's account and associated login credentials are deactivated when they leave Marble Centre. To request deletion of specific personal data associated with a staff account, contact us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

The App is an internal workplace tool for adult staff and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

Changes to This Policy

If how the App collects or uses data changes, this page will be updated and the "Effective date" above will reflect the most recent revision.
